Pool Attendant - Seasonal
Duties And Responsibilities
- Tests and balances pool chemicals and documents as required by state and local regulations.
- Maintains pool temperature.
- Cleans and vacuums pool, cleans skimmer baskets, backwashes pool filters, and skims the pool with skimmer.
- Sweeps the pool deck and all surrounding areas daily.
- Straightens pool furniture, ensuring that furniture is clean and in working order at all times.
- Maintains a welcoming atmosphere for residents by monitoring residents entering and exiting the pool area, ensuring the state capacity is not exceeded, and enforcing posted pool rules.
- Cleans and maintains pool bathroom daily, including keeping them stocked with supplies and free of standing water.
- Cleans the clubhouse and surrounding common areas as needed.
- Ensures safety equipment is present and in working order.
- Checks first aid kit for needed supplies on a daily basis.
- Gardens and removes weeds in commons areas.
- Supports community groundskeeping and other general maintenance tasks.
- May require flexible hours, nights, and weekends as needed.
- May require temporary or permanent reassignment of work location as directed by Senior Leadership.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- No prior experience or training required.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
- Must maintain an active and working personal mobile phone.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and internet is required.
- Must have good verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to endure seasonal temperatures.
- A growth mindset; always testing and learning is required.
- Willingness and ability to present self in a neat, clean, and professional manner always throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Continually required to sit, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, or reach.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Continually work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, such as pool chemicals.
- Continually exposure to outside weather conditions.
- The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 20 pounds.
