Pond Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a full-time Pond Maintenance Technician to join our friendly and hardworking team. 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and caring for ponds, including the general upkeep of ponds, filters, pumps, and water features
• Testing and managing water quality
• Algae control, removing algae, debris, sludge, and invasive plants
• Caring for pond fish and aquatic plants
• Installing and repairing pond pumps, pond filtration systems, liners, and pipework
• Finding and repairing pond leaks
• Carrying out seasonal pond maintenance
• Advising customers on pond care and equipment
• Completing accurate job records and reporting issues to customers and supervisors

Requirements

• Some previous experience with pond maintenance, landscaping, gardening, or similar work (not essential)
• Good practical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable and hardworking
• Basic plumbing and electrical awareness, or the ability to work safely around water and electrical equipment
• Basic knowledge of fish, plants, and water quality
• Problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Good customer-service and communication skills
• Full driving license required
