What You Will Do

  • Provides expert care using intuitive, reasoning and experience.
  • Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and makes adjustments, if necessary, including applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standards, and performing appropriate physiologic calibrations (when age and cognitive function appropriate).
  • Makes adjustments, if necessary.
  • Documents routine observations, changes in procedure and significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
  • Follows procedural protocols (such as PAP titration, oxygen titration, research protocols etc.) ensuring collection of appropriate data.

Education Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma / GED is Required.
  • A Technical Diploma in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy or EEG Program is Preferred.
  • An Associate's Degree is Preferred.

Experience Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year experience is Required.
  • At least two (2) years Polysomnography Technology or Respiratory Therapy experience is Preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Polysomnography License (New Jersey) - Required and obtained upon hire from the New Jersey State Licensing Board.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) (Pennsylvania) - Required and obtained upon hire from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required and obtained upon hire from an organization that requires a hands-on instructor lead psychomotor skills verification (ex. American Heart Association or Red Cross).

Salary Range

SALARY RANGE: $35.70 - $45.51 Hourly
