Responsibilities
- Independently performing all aspects of diagnostic testing and record scoring of data to ensure a high degree of quality services.
- Helps less experienced technologists with tasks as needed or as requested by the Polysomnography Coordinator, Director of Neurology Services, or Medical Director.
- With the assistance of a Registered Polysomnography Technologist, performing all aspects of diagnostic testing and record scoring to ensure a high degree of quality services.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum Experience: 1-3 years experience in Polysomnography, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy.
- Minimum Licensure/Certification: Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- Additional Qualifications: Some college coursework in basic science of sleep medicine preferred.
- For Non Registered: Minimum Experience: 1-3 years experience in Polysomnography, EEG, or Respiratory Therapy preferred.
- Additional Qualifications: Some college coursework in basic science or sleep medicine preferred.
- Eligible to sit for the sleep boards offered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in a sleep laboratory servicing adults preferred.
