About the role
A Polysomnographic Trainee develops competency in and performs the basics of polysomnographic testing and associated interventions under the clinical guidance of a Polysomnographic Technologist. Collaborates with the Medical Director, Leadership, staff, and patients to achieve optimal efficiency and success in sleep disorder function testing and scoring.
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $20.41 - $24.01/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an hourly position.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- BLS certified or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Interpersonal skills necessary to explain procedures to patients, alleviate apprehensions, and gain cooperation
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of patients served, including principles of growth and development, physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs
- Analytical skills necessary to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative statistical data and conduct diagnostic procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in an allied healthcare field (respiratory care or neurodiagnostics)
- 6 months of direct patient care experience
