Responsibilities

• Performs overnight testing procedures as assigned and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Thoroughly interviews patients to assess current medications, recent caffeine or alcohol ingestion, current sleep pattern and need for treatment during testing (i.e. insulin).
• Thoroughly communicates with appropriate personnel to clarify unclear or inappropriate orders, as well as to provide updates on the patient's status.
• Measures and applies appropriate EEG electrodes utilizing the International 10-20 system.
• Applies appropriate EKG, EMG or EOG monitoring electrodes.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Education - High School graduate or equivalent.
• Required: Experience - 1 year of Polysomnographic Tech experience.
• Required: Licensure/Certification - Certification by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists as an RPSGT or equivalent is required.
• Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
