About the role

The polisher / porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the restaurant's supplies and supporting the team. Key responsibilities include setting up for shifts, managing supplies, polishing and folding items, communicating with the kitchen, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for each shift by setting up the section and side stations.
• Receive, open, unpack, store, organize, and maintain front of house (FOH) restaurant supplies.
• Polish all glassware, silverware, and china circulated in the Tavern Building.
• Fold napkins and roll up items.
• Periodically take physical inventory of FOH supplies, including paper goods, silverware, glassware, and linens.
• Communicate with the kitchen about dishwashing needs.
• Aid in all non-alcoholic juicing and garnish preparation.
• Perform running side work as assigned.
• Close the restaurant as assigned, ensuring proper maintenance of cleanliness and organization.
• Support servers and the kitchen by communicating effectively.
• Exceed guest expectations consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fine dining atmosphere or luxury hotel.
