Responsibilities

Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED, or an associate degree or sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college or university.
- Currently enrolled in a Florida-approved Criminal Justice Academy for Law Enforcement (CJSTC).
- A current Florida Law Enforcement Certification or a Law Enforcement Certification eligible for Equivalency of Training (EOT) with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
- A current Florida Correctional Officer or Correctional Probation Officer Certification with three (3) years of continuous, uninterrupted full-time service.
Qualifications
- Waiver of the associate's degree or sixty (60) college credits requirement is possible at the date of hire, but requires signing an agreement to obtain these credentials within five (5) years of sworn date.

Pay
New hires may be eligible for a one-time Florida Law Enforcement Recruitment Bonus of up to $5,000, subject to terms and eligibility as outlined in Florida Statutes Section 445.08.
