About the role

Maintain the safety and security of Northcoast Behavioral Healthcare (NBH) Patrol grounds and building. Assist with and conduct investigations. Respond to emergencies and code assists. Escort, protect, and assist visitors. Conduct searches. Apprehend, arrest, and process criminal violators. File affidavits, serve warrants, and subpoenas. Appear in court and testify in criminal proceedings. Perform police administrative duties.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Completion of an approved basic peace officer training program or 20 years of active duty as a peace officer.
• Valid Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits.

Qualifications

• Law Enforcement Required.
• Educational Transcripts: Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer. Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration.

Pay

Police Officer 1 Pay Range $24.56 - $29.88. Police Officer 2 Pay Range $28.25 - $35.75. Longevity supplement after 5 years of service.
