Key Responsibilities
- Providing protection for the White House Complex, Vice President's Residence, Treasury Building, and foreign diplomatic missions.
- Serving as a support for travel for Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign dignitaries.
- Enforcing protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Qualifications & Skills
- U.S. citizenship and a valid U.S. driver's license.
- At least 21 and under 40 years old, with exceptions for certain federal law enforcement experience.
- Ability to carry and proficiently use a firearm.
- Uncorrected visual acuity no worse than 20/100 binocular; corrected to 20/20 or better.
- Hearing acuity within specified limits; able to hear whispered voice at 15 feet.
- Pass drug testing and complete intensive training at designated federal law enforcement academies.
- Certify registration or exemption with the Selective Service System if male and born after December 31, 1959.
