Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to internal entities.
- Perform data entry on the MTA PD Intranet.
- Submit required discovery compliance materials electronically to District Attorney Portals.
- Record Keeping: Case enhancement, Case analysis.
- Become familiar with and perform redactions for video/audio files.
- Aid in the transition to a new records management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned for Discovery compliance operations.
Qualifications
- Qualified Police Officers with a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Police Officer with the MTA Police Department.
- Knowledge of MTA Discovery Compliance Policy and Procedures.
- Proficiency in preparing reports.
- Highly motivated and organized.
- Good time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Prior experience in administrative units preferred.
- Prior experience with video/audio redactions preferred.
- Commitment to serve in this assignment for a minimum of two (2) years.
- Advanced communication skills including interacting with District Attorneys, Court Clerks, and other agency representatives.
- Working knowledge of New York State Discovery Reform.
