The City of Blaine Police Department seeks to hire highly qualified individuals to join our team of dedicated officers. Serving a community of over 70,000 residents, we prioritize proactive policing, professional excellence, and strong community partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Provide law enforcement services to the community
• Investigate crimes and assist in the apprehension of suspects
• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance when necessary
• Participate in community events and programs to build relationships
• Maintain public safety through patrols and other duties

Requirements

• Meet Minnesota POST Board licensing requirements by October 1, 2026
• Be eligible for Minnesota POST Board licensing by October 1, 2026
• Have no POST Board “Standards of Conduct” violations

Desirable Requirements

• Proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, Hmong, Arabic or Sign Language
• One year of experience in law enforcement, either a sworn, non-sworn, or volunteer position
• CPR and First Aid certification
