About the role

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Officer. This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Address traffic violations
• Conduct criminal investigations
• Participate in community events
• Be knowledgeable about Alaska traffic laws, criminal statutes, and UAF policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of the UAF Police Department

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be a US citizen
• Must possess (or be eligible for) a valid Alaska Driver's License
• No felony convictions

Qualifications

• Eligible under Alaska Police Standards Council regulations under 13 AAC 85.010
