About the role

The Town of Johnstown, Colorado, is seeking passionate individuals to join their Police Department as a Police Officer. This position requires current POST certification at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide law enforcement services to the community
• Investigate crimes and respond to emergencies
• Work collaboratively with community members and local organizations
• Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety
• Ensure the Constitutional rights of all individuals are upheld

Requirements

• Current POST certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Colorado driver's license
• Pass a background check
• Pass a physical fitness test

Qualifications

• At least two years of progressively responsible full-time law enforcement experience
• Completion of a police academy program
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of traffic control signals and practices

Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proficiency in computer systems and software
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Pay

Starting rate: $41.80- $53.35, depending on experience.
