About the role
The position involves performing a wide variety of services related to law enforcement, maintaining community peace, and assisting the public. Duties include patrolling the town, preventing and investigating disturbances and crimes, performing traffic control, apprehending suspects, and executing other assignments.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the Town during an assigned shift in a police car or on foot
- Prevent, detect, and investigate disturbances and crime
- Perform traffic control work
- Appear before suspects
- Execute related assignments
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- A 2 or 4 year degree is preferred
- Successfully completed North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement (BLET) Training
- Must have a BLET certificate
- Must possess a valid NC driver's license
Benefits
Commensurate with experience.

$42,962 - $46,946 Depending on Qualifications
