About the role
South Ogden City is seeking dedicated, service-minded individuals to uphold the law, protect citizens, and keep our city safe. As a South Ogden Police Officer, you will:
- Enforce local, state, and federal laws
- Respond to calls for service and assist those in need
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and testify in court
- Patrol neighborhoods to deter crime and build community trust
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Utah P.O.S.T. Basic Certification, P.O.S.T Certification within 3 months, or ability to become P.O.S.T. certified
- Valid Utah driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and meet physical demands of the role
Qualifications
Preferred:
- College degree
- Prior law enforcement experience
Pay
The police officer salary range is $28.73 to $53.65 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. New officers qualify for a $4,000 hiring bonus.
