About the role
The Lindsborg Police Officer position is a full-time role within the City of Lindsborg, a city of over 3,700 residents. The position is supervised by the Chief of Police and involves protecting life and property, preserving order, enforcing laws and assisting with investigations.
Responsibilities
- Enforce all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
- Investigate crimes and accidents
- Provide public assistance
- Exercise initiative and discretion in emergency situations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Kansas driver’s license
- Successful completion of a law enforcement academy program
- Ability to pass a background check
Qualifications
- At least two years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience
- Knowledge of traffic laws and accident investigation techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
