POLICE OFFICER

About the role

The Lindsborg Police Officer position is a full-time role within the City of Lindsborg, a city of over 3,700 residents. The position is supervised by the Chief of Police and involves protecting life and property, preserving order, enforcing laws and assisting with investigations.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances
• Investigate crimes and accidents
• Provide public assistance
• Exercise initiative and discretion in emergency situations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Kansas driver’s license
• Successful completion of a law enforcement academy program
• Ability to pass a background check

Qualifications

• At least two years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience
• Knowledge of traffic laws and accident investigation techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
