Police Officer
About the Role
The Police Officer performs a complete range of law enforcement services for the ECU Police Department. Duties include patrols, criminal apprehension, preliminary and follow-up investigations, traffic enforcement, and other tasks that aid in securing the hospital campus. This position is primarily assigned to report and work at ECU Health Bertie but may be assigned to other ECU Health regions as needed.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years of formal education/experience (or higher).
- Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) certification.
- Law Enforcement certification by the State of North Carolina.
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
- Minimum age of 20 years.
- Selected applicants must pass a complete medical examination, psychological testing, and a Police applicant background investigation.
Pay
$24.69 - $35.99 per hour.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday, 5:45 pm - 5:45 am.
- Required to work rotating weekends.
