Police Officer

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Police Officers in the Police Department. Under the direct supervision of a Lieutenant, the incumbent performs day-to-day enforcement of municipal, state, and federal laws (including making arrests, working accidents, testifying in court, preliminary investigations, traffic regulations, etc.) in a designated area on an assigned shift.

Responsibilities

• Enforce municipal, state, and federal laws
• Make arrests
• Work accidents
• Testify in court
• Preliminary investigations
• Manage traffic

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree preferred
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must possess and maintain C.L.E.E.T. certification
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable
• Must meet medical requirements set forth by the Oklahoma Police Pension & Retirement System

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol screening

Benefits

• Starting Salary: $59,057-$61,938/Yr. w/Benefits
