Pay
- Police Recruit (while attending 16-week Police Academy) - $60,150
- Police Officer (successful completion of the Academy) - $66,013
- Master Police Officer salary range: Top-out rate of pay is $101,853 annually after 10 years of completed service.
Schedule
- Shift differential: Evening shift $1.00 per hour and Night shift $1.50 per hour.

Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- 21 years of age by first day of Police Academy
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Kansas residency not required
- Desired qualifications: Prior law enforcement experience, college courses in criminal justice, and/or military experience.

Benefits
- $1,300 annual secondary language stipend for those who pass a City of Lenexa proctored oral speaking proficiency test.
