Your ability to deal cards efficiently, enforce game rules, calculate payouts with precision, and maintain full control of the table ensures that every guest enjoys a smooth and entertaining gameplay experience. Through strong game knowledge, attention to detail, and a welcoming demeanor, you help create a safe, enjoyable, and trustworthy environment that reflects the high standards of the Live! brand.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exemplary customer service while engaging with guests in a professional demeanor.
  • Dealing various games of poker, including but not limited to Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Stud and Draw.
  • Dealing various limits, including No Limit, Limit, Spread Limit, and Pot Limit.
  • Controlling gaming cards and equipment.
  • Protect company assets by monitoring guests’ movements at table at all times.
  • Analyzing customer play for cheating scams and suspicious variation in play.
  • Engaging with guests.
  • Paying wins/Taking losses.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to: Speak English clearly, listen and follow directions.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and forms.
  • Use chips, cards, and a paddle.
  • Complete, perform and understand basic mathematical functions.
  • Perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
  • Knowledge of: Specified games and gaming regulations.
  • Money and chips designations.
  • Thief techniques.
  • Company policy and procedures, IRS Bank Secrecy Act and internal controls.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a casino dealer OR certification from an accredited dealer school.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary license as mandated by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency.
