About the role
The Digital Politics Podcast Producer role involves running the weekly production cycle, including recording, editing, cutting clips, and publishing episodes on various platforms. The producer also assembles each episode, ensuring it is completed on time and meets high standards.
Responsibilities
- Record the episode, edit it, and publish it on platforms such as YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.
- Edit the episode and cut the clips to ensure a clean, consistent, and on-time product.
- Assemble every episode, coordinating with writers, designers, and others to bring the final product together.
- Raise the production quality and visual presence of the show as it grows.
- (Optional) Host the podcast, though this is not required.
Requirements
- Experience in podcasting or video production
- Proficiency in video editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, etc.)
- Ability to produce high-quality content consistently
- Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Self-starter with the ability to manage a weekly production cycle independently
