Job Requirements
- Reads and follows entry-level blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Install magnehelic components and transducers with related plumbing.
- Assemble and install cable, wire, and pneumatic tubing/hose management devices, such as cable tray, conduit, and wire way.
- Assemble and install pneumatic and hydraulic control boxes.
- Install route and terminate pneumatic, hydraulic, grease and oiler tubing/hoses components on equipment.
- Sub-assemble pneumatic, hydraulic, grease and oiler components.
- Operate material handling equipment.
- Travel preferred. Utilize overhead crane and rigging procedures.
- Maintains a clean work area.
Job Responsibilities
- Occasional Job Responsibilities: Department clean up and improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and do metric system conversions.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics, electrical code manuals, and other manufacturing instructions preferred.
- Requires good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop solutions.
Physical Requirements
- Protective Clothing Required: The incumbent will utilize all PPE (i.e., Safety glasses, gloves, shoes, and hearing protection) while performing the duties of this position when needed.
- While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders.
- The incumbent will regularly talk and listen and move from place to place.
