PMO Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a PMO Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will oversee the day-to-day execution of project management services across complex technical engagements, ensuring delivery stays aligned with scope, schedule, and budget. The PMO Manager will partner closely with executive leadership, departmental teams, and a remote project management organization to drive consistent execution and strong service delivery. This position requires a blend of operational discipline, financial oversight, and customer-focused leadership in a fast-paced IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day execution and delivery of project management services
• Ensure technical engagements align with scope, schedule, and budget
• Communicate effectively with executive leadership and departmental teams
• Supervise a remote PMO team of Senior Project Managers and Program Managers
• Identify and manage project risks, escalating as needed
• Promote a customer-focused work ethic aligned with organizational principles
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or technology; Master's degree is a plus
• 5+ years of experience as a PMO Manager or Director in large enterprise organizations
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and PMBOK
• Experience managing complex IT project deployments
• Background in managing project financials, including budgeting and cost control
• Familiarity with adherence to SOWs and delivery standards
• At least 2 certifications from PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or Microsoft Project 2016/2019

Pay

$150,000 – $170,000 annually
