ECU Health Physicians in the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry & Behavioral Health are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant to provide patient care in their Emergency Department at ECU Health Medical Center to patients presenting with acute psychiatric illnesses, acute agitation, and adjustments of antipsychotics. Applicants with at least 2 years of experience are preferred.

This unique position provides the opportunity to practice behavioral health services in an acute setting in collaboration with psychiatrists and emergency physicians.

  • Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, 974-bed level 1 trauma center
  • Growing 9-hospital physician led healthcare system

Schedule

  • Twelve hour shifts at ECU Health Medical Center Campus
  • Clinical Shifts are 11a-11p or 12p-12a

Requirements

  • A masters or doctoral degree in PA or PMHNP from an appropriately accredited institution
  • Eligible for North Carolina PA license/PMHNP license and DEA license
  • ACLS & PALS certifications required
  • 2 years of experience preferred
