PM Dispatcher
About the role
The PM Dispatcher II position within Transdev's dispatch team oversees road service through communication with operators and provides customers support to clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.
Responsibilities
- Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route beginning on-time, performance, incidents, etc.
- Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no-shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
- Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
- Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience of dispatching.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Problems solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions - 100% of the job is performed outside.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours per day).
- Frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday.
- Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to file or equipment stored at ground level.
- Tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions upon request.
