PM Cook

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance in receiving and storing food and supplies to prevent waste and ensure quality products.
• Ensures items are dated, labeled, and stored correctly.
• Utilizes proper food handling techniques.
• Reviews menus, therapeutic menus, recipes, and production sheets before preparing meals.
• Serves diets according to plans using proper portions and special diet items.
• Fulfills standardized recipes and special diet orders, preparing sufficient quantities to meet all service requirements.
• Tests and tastes foods of all consistencies for proper appearance, flavor, aroma, and temperature, adjusting as necessary.
• Supervises when needed.

Requirements

• Experience in healthcare food service is preferred, but not required.
• Banquet/catering experience is preferred, but not required.
