About the role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods to include breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. Responsibilities may vary by account depending on business needs and client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Clock in and out for workday and breaks
- Provide high-quality service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
- Follow food preparation procedures per federal, state, and local guidelines
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation as directed by production sheets and/or leadership
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment per ISS/Guckenheimer and regulatory rules
- Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, availability issues, food/equipment safety concerns, or other situations requiring attention
- Attend all meetings of the day
- Perform other duties as assigned
Success Criteria
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness for a safe environment
- Follow daily Workplace Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines and SOPs
- Work safely with large volume culinary equipment including slicer, large mixer, food processors, blenders, and chopper
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year professional cooking experience or equivalent education
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Standing for long periods (up to 8 hours)
- Reaching, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling
- Frequently lifting up to 35 pounds; use team lift, carts, or assistance for heavy loads
- Work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
HSEQ Compliance
All employees must adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality policies and procedures, including safety protocols, environmental responsibility, and quality standards. Actively participate in HSEQ training and report hazards or compliance concerns.
