Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have knowledge of basic principles of food production
• Must be physically able to waist lift a minimum of 50# and overhead lift a maximum of 25#, with frequent waist lifting and overhead lifting of objects up to 25%
• Must be able to push and/or pull objects with a maximum effort of 25%
• Must be able to stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8 hour day
• Must be able to frequently bend, squat and twist body during an 8 hour day
• Must be able to attend mandatory all staff meetings and dietary department meetings
• Must be able to read and write
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• To prepare high quality, tasty foods in specified quantities
• To serve meals at the stated times
• To follow all menus, therapeutic diets and production sheets in the preparation of meals
• To maintain orderliness in working area
• To accurately weigh and measure food ingredients
• To supervise dietary personnel working on your shift
• To follow safety measures when using all equipment and appliances
• To clean all equipment used in food preparation
