About the role

The Plunger Lift Automation Service Representative position is available immediately with ChampionX, a division of SLB, a global technology company dedicated to energy innovation for a sustainable future. Your role will involve reviewing quotes, installation and repair plans, executing installations, repairs, and services, creating product failure analysis reports, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Review quotes, installation and repair plans to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and the parts and process required to address the need.
  • Explain installation, service or repair plans, and invoices to customers; discuss cost or time overruns with team leader or manager.
  • Execute installations, repairs, or service plans and document results.
  • Create product failure analysis reports.
  • Develop good working relationships with customers through professional communication.
  • Develop and maintain application competency in Production Automation, including computer skills in SCADA, telemetry, Windows operating environment, database technologies, Internet, and networking. Wireless communication competency is required.
  • Accurately account for all truck inventory.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work weekends and overtime as required.
  • Perform mechanical field maintenance work to ensure optimal availability and reliability of artificial lift equipment.
  • Communicate effectively, listen to understand input, feedback, and concerns, respond timely and effectively, identify and resolve problems, develop alternative solutions, work well in group problem-solving situations, and use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
  • Show good math skills, organize and manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Show proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and strong mechanical skills.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 80 lbs. regularly, and 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold and heat, high, precarious places, and vibration.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
  • Occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and vibration.

Requirements

  • Four years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good math skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
