Duties/Responsibilities
- System Installation: Assist with rough-ins by measuring, cutting, and threading pipes (PVC, PEX, Copper) and installing hangers and supports.
- Fixture Setup: Help assemble and install sinks, toilets, water heaters, and other commercial or residential plumbing fixtures.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Support other technicians in diagnosing leaks, clearing blockages, and performing routine preventive maintenance.
- Technical Support: Read basic blueprints and diagrams to determine the layout of water supply and waste systems.
- Safety & Logistics: Maintain a clean job site, organize tools on the service truck, and strictly adhere to OSHA safety protocols.
- MEP Coordination: Work alongside electrical and HVAC teams to ensure plumbing systems do not conflict with other building infrastructure.
- May give instruction, direction, and mentorship to others on the job site including an assigned helper
- Gather/collate/classify information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in plumbing or a related field
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (e.g., pipe wrenches, drills, soldering torches).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Adherence to OSHA safety protocols
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Preferred Skills
- Completion of a Level 1 plumbing vocational program
- Basic ability to ready blueprints and diagrams to understand plumbing layouts
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form
Compensation
Salary Min: $41,622
Salary Max: $69,395
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position which typically requires 40 hours per week.
