Plumbing Service Manager

Our client, a growing commercial services organization, is seeking a Plumbing Service Manager to lead daily service operations, oversee field personnel, and drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of plumbing technicians, dispatchers, and support staff.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatching, service delivery, and emergency response activities.
• Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and resources across service and maintenance work.
• Build strong customer relationships and serve as the primary point of escalation for service issues.
• Monitor service agreements, customer retention, and opportunities for account growth.
• Manage departmental financial performance, including revenue, labor costs, margins, and productivity metrics.
• Review operational KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance performance.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, and employee development initiatives.
• Maintain a strong culture of safety, accountability, and customer service excellence.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial plumbing service experience, including leadership or management responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing service operations, dispatching, scheduling, and technician performance.
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems, preventive maintenance programs, and customer service operations.
• Experience managing budgets, profitability, labor costs, and operational metrics.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Illinois Plumbing License or equivalent industry credentials.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, or property management environments.
• Union workforce experience is a plus.
• Backflow certification is preferred but not required.

Pay

$120,000 - $140,000
