About the role
The City of Woonsocket is seeking a Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector to join their team. This position reports to the Director of Planning & Development and the Building Official.
Responsibilities
- Review of all drawings and specifications of all plumbing applications
- Issuance of permits and complaints of all plumbing violations
- Inspections of all new and updated plumbing installations
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Five (5) years of prior experience as a plumber or plumbing contractor
- A thorough knowledge of all plumbing-related ordinances and regulations
- A Rhode Island Master Plumbers, Pipe Fitter License, Master Mechanical License, Journeyman Contractors, and Plumbers License
- A certification by the State of Rhode Island's Building Code Standards Committee as a Plumbing/Mechanical Inspector
Qualifications
- Maintain State certification through the duration of employment with the City of Woonsocket
