Plumbing/fire Protection Engineer
Seeking an experienced Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to lead new construction projects from concept through completion in a collaborative hybrid environment. Projects include multifamily, mixed-use, affordable housing, and retail developments.

This role involves designing building systems, coordinating with clients and project teams, and managing projects through all phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing and fire protection design for new construction projects from kickoff through completion.
- Develop designs through Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), and Construction Administration (CA) phases.
- Prepare and review construction documents for accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
- Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration activities.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, and documentation.
- Design and produce drawings using Revit and related design tools.
- Support team collaboration, mentorship, and exceptional client service.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Plumbing and/or Fire Protection Engineering.
- Experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for new construction projects.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Experience leading projects through SD, DD, CD, and CA phases.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of MEP building systems coordination.
- Interest in mentoring and professional development.
- Commitment to high-quality client service and collaboration.

Work Environment
Hybrid schedule with approximately two days in-office and three days remote. Join a collaborative engineering team working on diverse projects throughout the New York metropolitan and tri-state area, utilizing modern design tools including Revit and AutoCAD.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000/yr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
