Plumbing Engineer/Designer III

Job Responsibilities

• Work on a variety of projects, from small to large
• Provide technical leadership in plumbing design
• Represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members
• Establish design standards and criteria for projects
• Prepare calculations, reports, and specifications
• Perform fire suppression system selection
• Create performance specifications
• Consult on areas such as the preparation of existing facility diligence, sustainability analyses, and feasibility reports
• Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
• Take responsible charge for the projects managed
• Conduct business development activities as needed
• Participate in various trade organizations and prepare presentations
• Establish project budgets and schedules
• Participate in the QA/QC process of completed work by staff
• Mentor and train more junior staff
• Partner with Southeast leadership to assist with retaining and the recruitment of talent

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent significant years of experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in the Plumbing Design field
• Experience with the latest version of REVIT is a must
• A working knowledge of the various applications of fire suppression systems gained through both formal training (NFPA 99) and project experience
• FE required

Pay

The salary range listed below is for this particular job posting. Actual pay range for candidates will be commensurate with candidate’s experience, skillsets and competencies and may differ based on the cost of labor in their particular location.

Chicago Pay Range: $71,684 - $113,279 USD
