Plumbing Designer (Data Center)
About the role
Your role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful. You will design plumbing/utility design packages for our data center clients. You will also prepare construction package drawings for DWV, potable water, process drains, storm drains, and domestic water systems. You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Design layout and plumbing systems
- Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Isometrics, Riser Diagrams, details, fixture schedules, and general arrangements
- Develop final construction documents associated with these systems, including domestic water (cold and hot), sanitary waste and vent, etc.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including Plumbing Engineers
Requirements
- At least 6 years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems for industrial facilities
- Demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to applicable CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm
- Trade School or Associates Degree
- Proficiency in Revit
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of plumbing systems
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines
Qualifications
- Past experience on data center projects
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
