About the role

PBI is a leading plumbing contractor in the Carolinas, trusted by builders and homeowners. We're seeking dedicated team members to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist plumbing technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems
  • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to and from job sites
  • Support basic plumbing tasks under supervision
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and supervisors
  • Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
  • Maintain required housekeeping in assigned work areas
  • Attend company meetings, trainings, and events
  • Adhere to, and enforce PBI core values, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Learn and comply with local and state plumbing codes and specifications, as well as manufacturer specifications for all materials use and standard operating procedures
  • Safely and properly operate company vehicles and equipment, including following the company procedures for vehicle's operations and maintenance
  • Follow all PBI and OSHA safety guidelines and requirements. Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices

Requirements

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
  • Ability to work under extreme conditions that include, but not limited to: adverse or extreme weather, lifting of heavy objects, hand digging, and working in tight spaces

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in Account Payable/Account Receivable related role required
  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in IT Support role required
  • Associates degree or greater in a related field preferred (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Construction Management)
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing materials, fixtures, and pricing preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office suite preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Effective communication skills
  • Technical support and troubleshooting skills
  • Software and hardware technologies, networks, operating systems, and applications
  • Experience with Active Directory and other systems
  • Experience with MFA, phishing awareness, and patch compliance
  • Experience with GHA and other suppliers
  • Experience with IT ticketing and application management
  • Experience with user account management and access controls
  • Experience with IT inventory management
  • Experience with IT equipment procurement and hardening
