About the Role
The Plumber is responsible for installing and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial buildings. Working with the foreman, this includes slabs, DWV, water rough-ins, fixture set-outs, gas piping, grease traps, main sewer lines, main waterlines, troubleshooting, and ensuring all work meets local code requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality workmanship and verify that installations meet project specifications and applicable plumbing codes.
- Maintain a clean jobsite and company vehicle.
- Complete required documentation, service tickets, and safety checklists.
- Follow company safety protocols and best practices.
- Train apprentices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong understanding of plumbing codes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing plans.
- Measure, cut, thread, solder, braze, and press all types of pipe and fittings.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and use ladders safely.
- Reliable, punctual, flexible, and able to work independently or with a team.
- Willing to work out of town, nights, and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Machine operator experience (mini ex, skid steer, lifts).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
