Plumber Helper-1

Essential Functions

• Perform appropriate communication with co-workers and customers
• Aid plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including pipes and fixtures
• Prepare work areas by cleaning and organizing, ensuring necessary tools and materials are readily available
• Handle tools and materials by obtaining tools, holding pipes in place, assisting in cutting and fitting pipes as directed
• Perform basic repairs and installations under direct supervision
• Dispose of waste by properly disposing of debris and waste materials
• Engage in on-the-job training to learn plumbing techniques and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Ability to travel, as needed, for projects
• 1 year of commercial plumbing experience preferred
• Willingness to learn to read blueprints and shop drawings
• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools and ability to read a tape measure preferred
• Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical, and English language skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Ability to work overtime if needed

Physical Demands

• Sit, squat, crawl, lay down, and stand for long periods of time
• Walk uneven terrain
• Use hands to manipulate small parts and tools
• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Navigate ditches
