About the role

Atlantic Constructors (ACI) is seeking a dynamic, motivated Plumbing Foreman to manage day‑to‑day operations on commercial construction plumbing projects. The foreman provides guidance to a crew of journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers, ensures job quality and customer satisfaction, and directly performs a wide range of skilled construction tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Study specifications, contract documents, BIM models, schedules, and VDC drawings to plan construction procedures, staffing, and timelines.
  • Assemble and coordinate supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers throughout the project.
  • Perform a wide range of skilled construction tasks as a working Plumbing Foreman.
  • Direct and confer with personnel and subcontractors on work procedures, interpret specifications, and coordinate phases to prevent delays.
  • Collaborate with supervisory and engineering staff, inspectors, and suppliers to resolve construction problems and improve methods.
  • Attend job‑site and office meetings related to assigned tasks.
  • Oversee installation, modification, and repair of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial plumbing operations or equivalent vocational training and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Plumbing Foreman managing crews on heavy commercial construction projects.
  • Extensive knowledge and direct experience with plumbing systems installation.
  • Proven ability to lead teams of 8–10 individuals, ensuring high productivity and project success.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, and demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Availability and means to report to multiple job sites as assigned.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • First aid/CPR certification.
  • Medical Gas certification.
  • Preferred: Prior military experience and a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills

  • Strong relationship‑building skills with crew members, clients, customers, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret color‑coded cables/wires.
  • Physical ability to work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 lb.
  • Capability to work in varying temperatures, inclement weather, moderate/high noise, and exposure to fumes or dust.
  • Comfort working in confined spaces or at heights.
