Plumber Chief
About the role
The Plumber Chief is responsible for performing skilled installation of plumbing systems, leading maintenance personnel, and ensuring compliance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code. This position requires a Minnesota Master Plumber's License and a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing lead work and direction to maintenance personnel to meet Minnesota Plumbing Code requirements.
- Perform skilled installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of existing and new plumbing systems.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program and perform emergency repairs to avoid major repairs and potential emergencies.
- Monitor and modify construction plans, blueprints, and plumbing specifications for the institution.
- Assist in various trade areas as needed to maintain the day-to-day operations of the institution.
Requirements
- Possession of a Minnesota Master Plumber's License.
- A valid Minnesota Class D Driver's license.
- Leadership skills sufficient to provide leadwork direction, including prioritizing and assigning job duties, directing, guiding, and reporting on work activities.
Qualifications
- Commercial plumbing experience preferred.
- Experience working with electronic controlled plumbing preferred.
- Experience working in a correctional facility preferred.
Skills
- Skilled in plumbing installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to lead and direct maintenance personnel.
- Knowledge of the Minnesota Plumbing Code.
- Experience with electronic controlled plumbing systems.
- Experience working in a correctional facility environment.

Pay
$36.29 - $42.14 / hourly; $75,773 - $87,988 / annually
Schedule
Day Shift/6:00 am - 4:30 pm
