ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools and other methods pertaining to the installation of copper, carbon steel, cast iron.
- Experience in soldering, brazing, pro press, pipe threading, pipe grooving, and various other piping methods used in a Commercial/Industrial Environment.
- Fills pipe system with water or air, reads gauges to determine system pressure.
- Proficient in Commercial drain cleaning and service.
- Directs Trade Helper assigned to plumber.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Basic Qualifications
- Basic literacy and the strength and dexterity required to perform heavy lifting tasks.
- High School Diploma, GED or Trade School.
- Minimum (3) three years’ experience in the plumbing trades.
- Licensed at the Journeyman level in the City of Philadelphia.
- Must provide own basic hand tools and test equipment.
- Capable of reading blueprints, drawings and layouts.
- Must be able to read and speak English clearly.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Able to climb ladders and walk long distances.
- Able to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history.
- Must be able to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing.
- Must be able to work overtime when required.
- Must be able to work in all climate conditions.
- Will be working in a Correctional environment, which is a 24/7 operation.
- Shifts to be assigned.
- Shifts may involve multiple schedules.
