Plumber

Job Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair all plumbing and piping systems
• Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical/electrical devices including pumps, valves, heat-exchangers, cooling towers, lift stations, pneumatic control, boilers, chillers and compressors
• Operate and maintain medical gas systems including nitrous oxide, nitrogen, air, oxygen and vacuum piping
• Operate and maintain domestic water, heating hot water, chilled water, water softeners, RO water, sanitary sewer, sinks, toilets, showers, piping and equipment, etc.
• Maintain adequate inventory of plumbing supplies, tools, and parts
• Coordinate work order lists with Engineering Supervisor
• Clock in/out data and time into the maintenance work order system
• Comply with all Riverview Health and Engineering Department policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Medical gas certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: Three (3) years commercial experience
• PREFERRED: Five (5) years commercial or institutional experience

License/Certification Requirements

• Completion of plumbing apprenticeship
• Licensed to practice as a Plumber in the state of Indiana
• Medical Gas Certification (or ability to be certified within 12 months of hire)
