About the role

Responsibilities
- Inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of hospital facilities.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains plant plumbing systems including domestic hot and cold water, sewer and drain systems, and their related equipment, devices, and fixtures.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains other plumbing related systems including hydronic and steam heating systems, chilled water-cooling systems, lawn sprinkler systems and their related equipment, devices and fixtures.
- Troubleshoots problems in plumbing and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Assembles, installs, repairs and maintains other various Mechanical systems and equipment.
- Aids and acts as a resource for other maintenance staff with regard to mechanical and plumbing problems and issues.
Requirements
- Education: 2 years post high school vocational/ specialized training required.
- Licensed Plumber, Required.
- Valid driver license, Required.
- Minimum Work Experience: 3 years related work experience, Required.
Qualifications
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
