Responsibilities

• Affixes and maintains copper pipe from ½” to 4” using brazing and soldering techniques.
• Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Works with PVC pipe and uses power tools.
• Reads blueprints and follows standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
• Assists electricians, welders, and assemblers as necessary for projects as time allows.
• Performs other assigned work as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an industrial plumber, with a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
• Shop work required, with adherence to safety policies and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
• Appropriate credentials and certifications.
• Ability to work shift work.
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
