Responsibilities

• Assemble and install pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various methods such as couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
• Perform complex calculations and planning for special or large jobs, including daily scope of work.
• Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rules and levels.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines.
• Handle power tools in a safe manner.
• Communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner at all levels inside and outside the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the plumbing industry.
• Valid Journeyman License.
• Proven experience with assembling pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using various methods.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding building codes and specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills for performing complex calculations and planning.
• Proficient in using measuring instruments such as rules and levels.
• Experience in handling power tools in a safe manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay

$28 - $36 per hour

The role is based in Cincinnati & Columbus, OH.
