Plumber

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and test plumbing, medical gas, domestic water, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing and mechanical system issues.
• Lead system commissioning, inspections, and performance testing to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including leak detection, system flushing, valve calibration, and routine servicing.
• Respond to emergency repairs and system failures to minimize disruptions to hospital operations.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to support installation and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with construction, engineering, and facility teams to ensure safe, compliant project execution.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, testing, inspection, and regulatory documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and promote safe work practices and technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, Oklahoma State Department of Health, NFPA, OSHA, and applicable building code requirements.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid Oklahoma plumbing contractor license, or two years of experience as a hospital mechanical journeyman plumber.
• Prioritize safety and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.
