Key Responsibilities
- Operates, installs, troubleshoots and repairs all plumbing, pipefitting, refrigeration related plumbing or pipefitting and other fluid-related systems.
- Works from engineering drawings, sketches and other specifications.
- Makes measurements, cuts, threads and installs pipes and fittings using hand and power tools.
- Completes calculations and measurements to ensure pipes function correctly.
- Performs ordering and estimating of jobs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires a Plumbing certification, Journeyman's card or relevant vocational degree.
- Requires knowledge of basic plumbing practices.
- Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
- Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
- May be required to furnish own hand tools.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
