Accountabilities
- Own the technical integration layer between the PLM ecosystem and broader enterprise applications.
- Design and develop integrations between PLM platforms and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle using integration tools, APIs, web services, and middleware platforms.
- Create integrations between PLM systems and MES, MOM, quality, and manufacturing applications.
- Develop REST and SOAP services to expose PLM data using technologies such as OData, Info*Engine, and custom Java-based solutions.
- Implement message-based and event-driven integration patterns using middleware platforms including MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC, and SAP CPI.
- Optimize high-volume integrations by improving performance, scalability, throughput, and resource efficiency through data-driven analysis.
- Lead modernization initiatives by replacing legacy point-to-point integrations with scalable middleware-based architectures.
- Collaborate with PLM, ERP, CAD, engineering, and business teams to align technical solutions with operational needs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Provide post-production support, incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and long-term stability improvements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Evaluate emerging integration technologies and recommend solutions based on business requirements, technical fit, and long-term value.
Requirements
- Strong experience in PLM integrations, enterprise application architecture, and modern integration technologies.
- Significant hands-on experience working with Windchill environments.
- Experience designing and implementing PLM-to-ERP integrations, particularly with SAP or Oracle platforms.
- Knowledge of CAD integration patterns and engineering data exchange workflows.
- Experience with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Oracle Integration Cloud, or SAP CPI.
- Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services.
- Solid SQL skills and familiarity with PLM data models.
- Experience designing enterprise integration patterns, including asynchronous messaging and event-driven approaches.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with PTC Windchill certifications, ThingWorx, IIoT integrations, API management platforms, Kafka-based integrations, or cloud-based Windchill deployments is a plus.
