About the role
As a PLM Change Analyst at Turion Space, you will serve as the point of contact for all PLM-related matters, including item masters, engineering change orders (ECO), drawing releases, bills of materials (BOMs), procedures, and work instructions. You will play a critical role in ensuring spacecraft documentation is secure, complete, and accurate, supporting engineering operations and configuration management standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all documentation and change records are accurate, complete, and compliant with company configuration management standards
- Execute and process ECOs/ECRs in the PLM system following established procedures
- Route, track, and complete engineering change orders and change requests while ensuring required reviews and approvals are captured
- Perform PLM system administration activities, including new user onboarding, permissions, role management, and PLM workflow training
- Support PLM implementation and configuration activities such as data migration, new feature rollouts, attribute/template updates, and change process improvements
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions with PLM technical support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate document approval workflows, resolve issues, and maintain configuration control
- Support day-to-day engineering administrative needs related to PLM and change control, including item creation, BOM updates, drawing/document revisions, and change impact assessments
- Draft procedures, work instructions, guidelines, flowcharts, and train team members on PLM processes and change management best practices
- Participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and ensure timely closure of assigned changes
- Support PLM integration activities with other business systems such as ERP, ECAD (Altium), MCAD (SolidWorks), and additional functionality to support Supply Chain and Quality Management System (QMS) activities
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years in Document Control, Configuration Management, or Engineering Change Management
- Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize time-sensitive project deadlines and manage multiple change workflows simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company, including engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher
- 5+ years of direct experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (Agile, Windchill, Arena, or similar), Product Data Management (PDM), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; implementation experience is a plus
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating change impacts, identifying inconsistencies, and resolving system/process issues
- Experience writing procedures, work instructions, guidelines, and flowcharts
- Configuration Management System experience
- Prior work in the aerospace industry
- Exposure to AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements and audits
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes
- Ability to document and present technical information clearly
Pay
Salary: $85,000 – $105,000 USD
